New from Laura Mercier for Fall, available now and part of the permanent collection is Rouge Nouveau Weightless Lip Color.
Packaged in a long tube this new lipstick is 100 % wax free .
There are 15 new shades in all and 3 finishes- Créme, Sheer and Matte with the first letter of the lipstick shade corresponding to first letter of finish . Mine is a crème called Cafe.
Cafe has a satin finish that eventually becomes a bit more matte, with good, almost full, pigment and is a bit lighter on lips than the swatch shows. Cafe is a rose nude with no shimmer and feels very autumnal.
Rouge Nouveau indeed has a nice light feel on lips while also being creamy with medium moisture. It feels like it has more moisture than Mercier's Crème Smooth lipsticks.
Wear time is good with a few hours for me in a quick test. Colors range from plum to nude to red .
