| Beyoncé proves she is the real Queen B with 80000 bees at home - Loop News Trinidad and Tobago Posted: 06 Nov 2020 08:09 AM PST ![]() Beyoncé might be the head of her global fanbase known as the Beyhive but at home, she owns actual bees, 80,000 to be exact. In her Vogue UK cover story, Beyoncé revealed, in response to Editor Edward Enninful's question about something he would find surprising about her, that she owns two beehives. "I know it's random, but I have two beehives. Real ones. I've had them at my house for a while now. I have around 80,000 bees and we make hundreds of jars of honey a year," she said. The Queen B said she started the beehives because her daughters, Blue and Rumi, both have terrible allergies, and honey has countless healing properties.
In a rare interview, Beyoncé also revealed that she is pretty clumsy when it comes to her phone and keys which she is always losing and she gets dates and times confused all the time. However, she said she will remember every detail of a conversation, what you were wearing or how your hair was styled. Considered one of the most dominant and powerful figures in pop culture, Beyoncé tells the magazine that owning her art is the most important thing to her. She said: "Owning my films, clothing lines, and masters is important to me. Your songs, your image and the way you conduct business do not have to be created from a commercial point of view, or a male point of view. You can decide what success looks like for yourself. Being number one does not mean better quality. And commercial success certainly doesn't equate to being impactful. Cultural currency is invaluable." |
